Grilled Lamb Chops with Fresh Herbs & Garlic

Paired with Great Frogs Rosé

Grilling lamb chops is quick, easy and oh so delicious! This is a quick , simple meal that satisfies the summer tastebuds. Using fresh herbs from the garden or local market along with freshly minced or crushed garlic is key, giving every bite a rustic grilled flavor. I served this meal with tenderly steamed asparagus and new potatoes. wine of choice, Great Frogs new Rosé, Chilled of course. have you tasted their new Rosé? If not, you are in for a treat! Lamb Chops

1 rack of lamb chops, separated with the slab of fat removed

1 TBSP minced or crushed garlic

2 TBSP minced fresh Rosemary

2 TBSP minced fresh Thyme

2 TBSP Avocado or Olive Oil

Salt and pepper

a splash of dry red wine

Mix all ingredients except wine, in small bowl. Rub gently into meat on both sides of chops. Place in a glass dish, cover and rest in refrigerator for 30 min or over night.

Start grill, med-high heat

Place potatoes in steamer pot and steam until tender. Drain, rest covered until chops are done.

Prepare Asparagus in pan to steam but wait to steam until after you remove lamb chops from the grill. As you know Asparagus takes min to steam.

Chops.

Remove from fridge and splash a little red wine allowing enough to coat both sides of chops. Once the grill is ready, med-high heat, place on the grill. Grill for 2-3 min. If chops are thick 3-1/2 min. Turn over and grill for another 3-4 min or unless thick you can leave for an extra min. Remove from grill and let rest 10 min before serving.

While chops are resting steam asparagus.

Serve with a glass of chilled Great Frogs Rosé!
